Menfi: Direct Libyan dialogue is the path to lasting national consensus

Summary: The Head of the Libyan Presidential Council Mohammed Menfi discussed the latest political developments in Libya, as well as efforts to advance the political process and unify the military institution, during a meeting on Thursday with French Ambassador to Libya Thierry Vallat. According to the Presidential Council’s media office, Menfi received the French ambassador at the Council’s headquarters in Tripoli, where the two reviewed a number of issues related to the country’s political developments.

The Head of the Libyan Presidential Council Mohammed Menfi discussed the latest political developments in Libya, as well as efforts to advance the political process and unify the military institution, during a meeting on Thursday with French Ambassador to Libya Thierry Vallat.

According to the Presidential Council’s media office, Menfi received the French ambassador at the Council’s headquarters in Tripoli, where the two reviewed a number of issues related to the country’s political developments.

The office said the meeting included a presentation of the Presidential Council’s vision for the current political phase, along with the tripartite initiative aimed at advancing the political process through direct Libyan dialogue leading to a lasting national consensus.
