Al-Koni: European and Libyan security are closely linked

Presidential Council's Deputy Head Mossa Al-Koni discussed political and security developments in Libya, illegal migration, and ways to strengthen cooperation between Libya and the European Union during a meeting on Thursday with EU Ambassador to Libya Nicola Orlando.

According to Al-Koni’s media office, the meeting focused on efforts to promote stability and advance the political process in Libya. Orlando reaffirmed the European Union’s support for initiatives aimed at strengthening stability and helping achieve a consensual political settlement to end the country’s division.

He also stressed the EU’s commitment to supporting Libya’s stability and backing initiatives that promote development and stability while helping Libyans build unified institutions and strengthen security.
