US State Department notifies Congress of plan to reopen embassy in Libya after nearly 14 years

The US State Department has informed Congress of its intention to move forward with a plan to reopen the US Embassy in Libya, proposing nearly $41 million to fund the phased resumption of embassy operations after its closure in 2014.
